Photo-tex Tissue is an unbuffered, high-purity, 100% cotton all rag sheet and was developed to meet the highest quality standards for the storage of photographs, textiles and works of art on paper. Made with a very smooth finish to prevent damage to negatives and prints by abrasion, this natural white, cotton rag paper is unbuffered and sulfur-free. Fibre distribution and formation of this paper is excellent.
General storage of photograph collections; storage of textiles for which the alkaline environment of a buffered paper is considered undesirable, e.g. wool, fur and silk; interleaving and wrapping of works of art on paper where buffering is not desired; storage of silver and artifacts.
pH Value: 6.8 to 7.2 at time of manufacture. Since it is unbuffered, a drop of pH is to be expected when exposed to normal atmospheric conditions.
